    Default Surviving in the Wild

If you have any misgivings about how positive and informative some survival shows are, this should clear things right up. (Note to Sarge: Trust me, you don't want to read this!).

Now that was funny.....or scarey. I really liked where the author believes he can be dropped off in the Sahara Dessert and survive because all ya gotta do is find dessert animals and water. Man if I knew it was that simple.....

WE the response you gave spoke volumes, he is a true idiot and I for one thank you for taking the time to school that moron. It was kinda funny to read what he thinks, I'd like to drop him off in a state or county park and see if he can make it for a week or two and film his dumb azz.
There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

Yeah, I read it. I really liked WE's comment. Hasn't this guy showed up on here a time or two? Somebody should direct him to the "Bare Wilderness" guys.

Heck Beo, by what I read - you can probably drop him off at the end of the street and he wouldn't be able to find his way home.

Canid - your response was certainly more mildly worded than WE's reply to the blog.

I would like to see survival in a big city with no money, extra clothes or ID and nothing to sell or trade such as a watch and no running to the city mission.

Who wrote that? I assume it must be an old hippy reminiscing about survival during the woodstock concert he went to. I see that he read a few chapters of a survival book (indicative of his last paragraph).

The end of the street is tough, but for a real challenge lets drop his a$$ at the mall at X-mas time!
