Ammo is starting to get kinda tight in this area. Don't want to run short hunting so I imagine regardless of what scattergun you like best pick up an extra box or so, never can tell when the price will go up.

Since we're talking about the "best shotgun", what about different loads. What loads do you like to use and for what purpose?

For my area, general all-around #5 - small game
I personally use more #4 in the 18" bbl - mainly home defense
a supply of slugs - home defense - deer
Will probably dig out some more, don't think my CCW will be renewed next year with the present political atmosphere, my opinion,

Remington makes a heavy "TURKEY LOAD" that works good on Alaskan Mosquito's. Get them on the ground and stick them with the short survival knife, the one that only has a 15" blade........

I mostly use #6's and #8's but I Keep some #4 Heavy shot, #00 buck and Brenneke Black magic 3" slugs as well as some #2 steel.
    1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.
    2. If you can't reach your kit when you need it....Its useless.

    Nuff said.
Just went and put one of these critters on lay-away. Should have it paid off
    in a couple of weeks.
