Back and forth between Northern Vermont (Sutton) and Central Florida. I do guides into the everglades in Florida and guides into the mountains of Vermont.

Research to find the best to learn from. I am the most comfortable in the jungle or the mountains, away from lots of people. This started from when I was very young (around 5yrs old) I was never afraid to be alone in the wilderness. Matter of fact I was most comfortable there. The being away from lots of people, real took hold after I returned from duty in 1971. Did 2 tours cause that's where the friendships were real. Don't know if anyone here will understand that. I think a few may. In between guiding I do a lot of work helping the Vietnam Vets, mostly the ones that still live in the woods in Florida. They are my brothers who shared life and death with me, even if we weren't together there. Again I don't know how people here will take this, so nuf said. I also teach survival skills to kids whose parents can't afford them to join the boy scouts, which is very expensive. This probably should have been a PM to you. But I am who I am, so I'm leaving it here.

I'd be interested in hearing more about Allan Bow Beauchamp - does he have a website or is further information available?

Capt, just Google Allan Bow Beauchamp, plenty of info and his writings.

Capt, if your serious about learning, taking his week course is well worth the time and money. IMHO

captn canuk from what i know of allan he is not an advertising, book writing web site promoting type of teacher seems to be more word of mouth than anything a very humble man from what i have seen so far.

grey wolf- i understand completley my friend, when i was four years old i was sitting in the bush back of my house looking around thinking that this is the way it was always going to be. very comfortable with that, second i agree with the thought of true friends coming from the military especially if you have seen action together, guys i work with don't get it, i am with a union but i tell them it is more of a membership than a brotherhood a word they love to throw around until times get tight then watch what happens, in combat that is when the brotherhood is formed

    Hi Capt. Canuck,

Yes, I know that this post is 4 years old.
I'm not writing to answer your question. I
Don't know any survival schools in the area
and was interested in finding one too.

This reply is really just to introduce myself.
I wanted to find people in the Ottawa area
With similar interests to mine. That's all.
    So, "hi".
