Default Biological "FREAKS" are killing each other, I hate them

I've made a big mistake. And, I am done with hybrid Turkeys. These are Broad Breasted Bronze Turkeys, they are freaks. They warn you when you buy them that they can not reproduce, that before they are sexually mature they can no longer walk, or produce eggs, they are too heavy, and their legs won't support them. They are a designer/high breed Turkey, intended to be killed at 20 to 24 weeks of age.

OK, they just turned ten weeks old, And they are "SUPER UGLY". Two days ago one had it's leg come apart at the reverse knee, the bone can through the skin, and the others tuned on it, and tried to kill it, pecking at the fresh exposed meat. It is like they are part vulture. Today they all attacked another turkey, they are like monsters. They have lots of food, lots of room. I am declaring this enterprise a failure, and maybe a total failure. Well I learned, and I am done with hybrid Turkeys. In fact I am done with turkeys after 10 more weeks, at this rate only one or two will prevail. I will stick to sweet, cute, lovable, funny, Geese.

A great deal like this forum isn't it? You show one little sign of weakness and WHAM! The whole forum pounces.

But honestly, I would never have picked you for a follower of the beautiful people. Ugly turkeys have rights, too, you know. They deserve a place in this world. It's not their fault they are ugly. It's true they don't look all that great laying out by the pool but, come on, are you really that shallow that you would judge them on their looks alone? Sad. Really sad.

Hope, definately avoid the whites, they get huge quick, like the cornish cross chicken.

Wanna see something truely ugly?? walk into a Tyson or Perdue "grow house",the birds are so cramped and get so big so fast, that their legs become misshapen, and they walk really weird. Sad really.

Nell, That is what is happening with these birds, in two or three days their feet go from pointing forward, to pointing 90 degrees in or out, next their knee blows out through the bone. It is sick......I would like to know how they make the fertalized eggs if they can't breed.

When hunting wild turkeys when they come into your set up as a folk and you put an arrow into a tom ALL the toms and jakes in the flock will attack the wounded tom.

If they're anything like the chickens I raised, they get the taste of blood its hard to stop them. I saw several chickens beat a poor black snake to death. Tag teamed him. It was brutal.

Oh heck,I'll feed them the "leftovers" from butchering other animals, even other chickens, doesn't bother me that they eat it,it's their nature, and it isn't going to hurt them,or you.

I've never seen this. They always just run away into the tree line.

Turkeys aren't nearly as intelligent as geese.
I have perfected my turkey call, but never tried a goose.

A "goose" works better on some people, than others.

A "goose" could get a man killed.
