I had a heart catheter last Wednesday. One artery was 90% blocked and the other was 99%. The doc did an angioplasty and a stint. I’m feeling better. If you’re having shortness of breath and dizziness, you might want to do a stress test.

Been there, done that, back in '04.

That makes me a 20 year survivor so I'll give you a couple of tips.

Follow the doc's orders, they do this for a living. Take your meds, do your rehab, follow your diet.

My doc talked to me a lot. He explained that many people try to taper off the meds because they have an aversion to "being sick". They don't follow the rehab, do not quit smoking and they have a second event within 2-3 years and that one kills them.

It is not just a few. 80% of heart patients do not make it past the 3 year point after their first incident, due to not following procedures.

Taking a handful of pills every day and a long ride on a stationary bike is a whole lot better than taking a long nap in a casket.

    You take care of yourself.

Thanks! That’s what I took away from the talk. Echo cardio tomorrow and carotid imaging in a couple of weeks.

Scary! I'm glad they caught it in time.

Glad you’re back. Looks like you disappeared for a little bit?

    What Kyrats said.
Although the whole treadmill stress test once every three months for three years got to be kind of a drag. I am extremely blessed to have a great Cardiologist/Cardiovascular surgeon.
