Thread: Black berries

    Default Black berries

We picked some black berries today. We got about six cups. The wife made a topping with the berries that we had on pound cake. If we can get at them we should be able to get more as they ripen.

Same here. We just had our last freeze a week and a half ago!

We usually don't get blackberries until 4th of July.

    Don't get tomatoes until August.

Gardens here don't start cranking out food until about then and stop mid Sept, so it is hardly worth the effort.

Here we had our first frost about half a month ago, so my blackberry plant (it's not really "just a plant", it's more of a bush) is "offline" rigth now, lol...
But I still have some jam. My wife loves to make it, and I enjoy eating it, so it's a win-win situation.
I own some stuff, and I know some things. But that's all.
