    ok I've been locked out of the forum for a long wile as randallss7, none of the email attempts ever made it to me, so I just registered under S.Potts, Probably better to use my more common/real name anyway, Steven Potts. Have not done much lately but I got tired of not being able to see the pics as a guest...lol.

    Nice work and nice to see you back. I haven't seen these knives on your Facebook. Do you still update that?
    I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

    another bunch of crap, Facebook disabled that page with not warning, no explanation. However all my followers can go there, leave comments, messages etc. However I cant log in and manage it, or respond and I do not get the emails from it any longer. I cant find any person at Facebook to actually talk to, its like my appeals and messaged go into a big black hole. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what I want to do. I moved my knife sales to that page several years ago and do all of it through there. So short answer no I have not posted there because they wont let me.

    I absolutely love the Damascus knife. At 1st I thought you were saying that it was a hunting knife, which I was about to totally disagree with, due to the tip style and grind, as that is for Bushcraft, but then I realized you were talking about the other 3 knives below.

    Back ito that Damascus knife now: Need my photos, knife porn incoming...

    Got a chance to play in the shop this weekend, made some 15n20 clad 80crv san mai. Mostly to see if i could. The forge weld was perfict, the contrast between the steels was diasipointing. However it made a solid usefull knife in the end. The handle is osage with a little burn on it

    I do not usually do hand carving on leather on things I plan for selling as I'm not very good at it, but I did a hand carved deer skull because the whole knife was more or less just a experiment for fun. I didn't/couldn't really get the deer skull positioned in a good location and really couldn't make it much smaller and still be able to get any detail

    same, I feel like I've waisted 12 years of leather work on just repetitive stamping, should of started a long time ago. However I use to hate the leather work portion, and now that I'm getting older I enjoy it a lot more. I cant make knives for 10 hours straight anymore it wears me out.

    not a knife but just made this for my son, he is a very accomplished trad archer. So far I'm not having that problem, but I'm sure it won't be long. My problem is I'm trying to do knives, full time job outside knives, a Wife, 3 daughters, two sons and 4 grand kids, plus a love for fishing and hunting. so basically, a tablespoon of butter for 3 loaves of bread.

    My 1st shop made Cu Mai blade, I won't say there wasn't issues, but I was able to chase those out and still make a good knife, all though somewhat smaller than planned...lol

    this one is a laminated Cu Mai blade, outside cladding is mild steel, then copper layers, then a core of 52100 ball bearing steel. I dyed some blue epoxy for the inside of the pins, put guess I dyed it so blue it looks black inside the pins, still looks ok. The handle is Osage orange with a burned and 1000g finish, bolster is copper.
