I've had the Vietnamese version (hot vit lon); all I can say it is not for me. They also BBQ the scaley yellow part of a chicken's legs.

My Great grandmother was Italian. She used to make Chicken Foot Spaghetti. Boil a bunch of chicken feet, peel the skin off and boil till the meat was off the bones. It was pretty good.

Her daddy moved the family to the middle of nowhere South Texas in 1903. There was 12 of them. They ate anything edible.

As I remember it was more gristle than meat.
Italians can really cook. My parent's neighbor was Italian and she made a marinade for nurse shark that was absolutely delicious.

My mother used to say we had dirt to grow vegetables and all the city people had concrete.

    I know, I thought you'd enjoy..

When I was there, I spent a lot of time with the locals. To them, it was a delicacy; to me it was a close your eyes and swallow.
