So, are you guys ready for hunting season? This year I want to do more spot and stalking up in the mountains. I just want to know everyone’s method is. If you spot and stalk on public land, how do you prevent spooking deer to other hunters?

Hi Bart. Most members like to know a little about whom they are giving advice to when discussing hunting, weapons, etc. There is an Introduction section. You can find it here http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...-Introductions

Yes, and tell us where you are hunting. The deer in Alabama are not the same as the deer in Colorado and hunting them is not the same.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

I'm not that great deer hunter, since I can't hunt deer at Brazil, so every single time that I hunted deer I didn't know the woods beforehand and that always make me feel nervous and out of place. The tip I can give to you is to go the woods beforehand, always stay lock and loaded, always use the highest caliber that you can be accurate with, and, if you can, hunt on private land. Also, don't be a one post ghost lol

I own some stuff, and I know some things. But that's all.

Scouting where one will be hunting is a key to success.
