Default I hope she still likes me

I just sent this to the wife. If she doesn’t make it, I’ll have to try and make it.

The video does say “this cake will change your life”. Maybe I don’t want to try it considering where this is going.

That's one of the advantages to have an stay at home wife, she's always trying new recipes and got excited to make this one.
But maple syrup is hard to come by here... So no heart attack cake for me today.
I own some stuff, and I know some things. But that's all.

Nope! I'm from the Paraná's state, a very intertesting place, with a lot of farms and even some untouched wilderness, it's like Brazil's Texas. But I travel a lot because of my work, so I do know Sao Paulo.

Natural syrup is hard to come by, period. It all has corn syrup in it.

Heh, I used to eat something two or three times a week, a pasta dish that I came up with, until I realized how bad it made me feel. I ended up calling it "hypertoxic fettuccine Alfredo." I can place a recipe if you wanna.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

I went out a week ago and got the ingredients for this cake. Yea, it didn’t happen. I decide to make it. I put it together and it’s in the oven right now! Thirty minutes to go.

Her brother sends us real Maple syrup made (or sold) by Mennonites in upstate NY. A quart for $13 + postage.
Supposedly, Costco or Sam's offers real maple syrup. Travel at your own risk.

The misses and MIL had some last night. The MIL, who’s a cake expert, said I was hired. The misses had a piece for breakfast. Must be alright.

Woof! Be careful, Rebel. You might start something.

My father and an aunt had a lifelong competition for best lemon meringue pie. It was vicious. We, of course, egged them on.

Egged them on.........I see what you did there.

Of course, with the rest of the family being the judges I can respect that.
