    Default Rebuilding an Old One

A friend showed up with an old Sabre #23 the other day. Minus the trim and fake bone scales. Google it, it's a 4" hunting knife that was the dream of many a boy back in the 1950s and '60s.

He wants a rebuild done. He won this one when he got his knife merit badge as a boy scout when he was 12.

He's going to get aluminum trim and curly maple scales, mostly because that is what I have on hand at the moment. Probably a new sheath too.

Nice little project for an afternoon. It's not bad out in the shop today, high of 82f here in KY.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

That's a good looking knife. Should be a fun project.
