    Default Wilderness Chapstick

    Hello all!

It has been a running joke in my friend group and family that I could survive in the wilderness... as long as I have chapstick. My lips get rediculoustly dry and crack after about 6 hours without it. I was just wondering if any of y'all know of any recipies for a wilderness lip balm or ways to keep your skin moisturized while away from creature cumforts.

    Thank you for any help!

White petroleum jelly is all you need and stay hydrated. Chapped lips are dry lips. You might also consider seeing a dermatologist. That could be an allergic reaction, a yeast infection or even a precancerous condition. A dermatologist can rule out any of those conditions.

In a pinch--ear wax. I know, ugh...but it works, providing you have some.

I have been practicing in the mirror but I cannot seem to get my lips in my ears. Not even close.

Okay, I tried that today. That girl beat the crap out of me. I didn't even get the chance to explain what I was doing. That was like the opposite of survival.
