Indeed. I started my own life with my wife 8 years ago and until now I didn't need to buy any power tool, I can do almost anything that I need with regular tools. Sometimes I wish i had a chainsaw and not only an axe, but I prefer to have a good axe and no chainsaw to have a good chainsaw and no axe.
And I do a lot of things around the house by myself, from mowing the lawn and fixing the ceiling to eletrical repairs and some plumbing.

For DIY, YouTube can be a great source. By "can be," I implied read the comments. Often one needs to purchase tools, I had to buy a 10' step ladder to replace the wireless receivers. $20 each with the remote. Testing is easy if the ceiling has a light. The receiver's power in and outputs are marked. To test add a jumper from the power in to the light; if the light comes on, replace the receiver.
The wife input was now you have a 10' step ladder and you can dust the fan blades.

Well, it's like a warmer version of Canada. We still have some snow but out winter is like their fall. But it's a lovely place to start a family.

I've invested time in checking out Paraná; it is very beautiful there. I didn't realize you had some snow there.

We are in NE Georgia, we also get some snow here. This one was the worst we have seen, snow, freezing rain and more snow. The generator ran all night while we watched TV and slept snug as a bug.
