And how does the stone work? The video is cool. Recently, I somehow believe more in the power of gadgets.

If the rock is wet, it is raining. If the rock is white, it is snowing. If the rock is dry the weather is clear. If the rock is swaying, it is windy. If you cannot see it (but it is there) it is dark.

That is your basic weather rock.

It is logical. Only in my opinion, all these natural phenomena are visible without the meteorological stone.

Crash, I know this is and old thread; however, your answer was a classic keeper.

Thank you. We're pretty much ready all of the time so we can avoid the last minute hords running about.

    You're welcome..

We're are the same here; pretty much ready for whatever comes our way. We even have a spare coffee pot.

It is amazing how weather empties the shelves at the grocery stores.

This site is one of the best for weather and severe weather:
    https://weather.com/safety/hurricane..._ven=hp-slot-1

    https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap
Enter a city and a bunch of home weather stations are uploading weather conditions.

Hey, me and Rick are ready for what comes your way too!

We'll just stay up here in the middle of the rust belt, watch the radar and storm cone, and pray for you.

And remember, the exhaust pipe to the generator goes on the outside of the house, not the inside.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Good to know. Guess I have to change things.

Y'know, I worry more about natural disasters after I've moved out of their way and left so many friends behind.

    But I'm praying for y'all.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.
