Default Build A Primitive Bow From Scratch

Hello everyone, during the lockdown I have been refreshing some old primitive survival skills that I learned in Malawi, Africa, decades ago as a boy.

I decided to build a flightless bow using only a branch and a chicken bone. This was all the material I needed for the bow, cordage, arrow and arrowhead.

Using this technique, it is possible to arrive in a wilderness with no pre-existing materials, and yet be able to hunt, fish and trap. With the remnant materials from making the bow, I also made a fishtrap and bird snare array.

Here is an instructional video of the bow making for anyone who is interested.

Very nice video. You had two excellent assistants. Why don't you shoot your way over to our Introduction section and tell us a bit about yourself?

I'll watch the whole video later. I did notice that you started out with no bandaid on your left thumb and then at some point one was there....

I do that a lot with my projects too...

There are three essentials to any project. WD40 in case it should move but doesn't, duct tape in case it moves but shouldn't and bandaids in case you messed up on one of the first two.
