Thread: Interesting find

    Default Interesting find

This past fall we had a pool installed. At the 6-7 foot depth stumps were removed with the roots burned. The trunks weren’t cut and there weren’t any other tree parts. Just stumps. We live on the north end of the Okefenokee swamp. Any idea of what may have caused the tree root burn?

Btw, the stumps were cedar. They didn’t look all that old but, we know no one in the past 100 years has buried them.

I've heard of fire smoldering up roots for a long ways away from the source. Cedar is pretty flammable. shrug.

Move along. Nothing to see here. I'm just an idiot spammer who thought I was being really clever. Turns out I'm just not all that smart afterall.
