Default A message from "mikey" Hayshaker

I talked to hayshaker yesterday. He's still having a battle with "Murphy" He still doesn't have internet because the provider can't seem to figure out line issues so he couldn't post himself. As many of you know he's been trying his hand at knife making lately. along with woodworking and different stuff to help get by. Three days ago he went to town for some errands and came home to his shop in flames! By the time the FD arrived it was a total loss. All of his equipment, several antique and irreplaceable wood planes and tools, compressors, power tools and everything gone! His tractor that he uses to haul firewood to the house was close enough that it burned/ melted the tires on one side. Unfortunatly he didn't have any insurance coverage for any of it.

He's still reeling form his wifes death and all the legal stuff dealing with that. He asked if we could keep him in our prayers. Says he just doesn't know how much more bad luck he can take.
If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.

He is certainly in my prayers. He has had more than his share.

Aye, trouble comes in threes. I wonder if some college student has ever looked at that?

    He's in my prayers.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

Thanks gang. I'll pass the good thoughts on to him.

Talked to Mikey today. He's slowly getting things cleaned up after the fire. He said unfortionatly a lot of the stuff he lost in his woodworking tools are irreplaceable. one item he said that really broke his heart was a first run wood plane that about 120 years old. Said it was very slow going because he didn't have any insurance and is having to do everything himself. Fortionatly he was able to find a couple of good used tires for his tractor that saved him about $1500. He said to tell everyone thank you for the prayers after I told him and that he's just gonna go one day at a time and try not to get to depressed about everything he's been dealing with.
