Wilderness Survival:
Surviving a temporary situation where you're lost in the wilderness
It's actually a stellar year in the southern Appalachian ski resorts. Not powder like the west but smooth groomed slopes. I'm retired.
Have fun in the white stuff....I think this poor slob will go to the beach.
I'll probably just put my feet up and relax. It's 51 here so no snow and no beach for me but 51 in January is nothing to sneeze at...unless you have a cold I guess.
A bunch of us are old.....and retired. nya nya.
I'm out hiking around Union Station in Denver.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.
