Just watching MSNBC. Just learned Anchorage is the capitol of Alaska. I did a head shake at that announcement. But yeah, hope everyone is safe and sound.
I thought Juneau was the capital of Alaska.
ETA: It is. I guess MSNBC is as accurate as ever.

They later came back and did a correction siting Juneau as the capital. And in other news...nothing much happened.
Not to be confused with Juno, Texas. Population 0-5 depending on if a car is passing through and how many people were in it.
Hope the Alaskans are all okay. I remember that Quake long ago, did a bunch of damage and then set of a tidal wave. In the 60s sometime.

Anyone heard from 1TimeStar?
She is in a Anchorage.

FYI, Sourdough is ok. Posted on HT. Lost all his interior stuff on shelves. A few cracks under his 1,000 gallon fuel tank.

I'm fine. I'm out of Fairbanks so the main quake was way south of me. It did shake us up a bit. Long rolling shake that did make me jump up and run under a door frame.

This is a really good compilation. Lots of security cameras, some cell phone videos, and a few taken after it was over.

Here's mine, taken after it had stopped as I had left my phone when running to the doorway and yelling for my son to get down here. My son's eyes were as big as I've ever seen them lol. Of course, he was upstairs where I'm sure he felt it even more then I did!
