"As God as my witness...I thought turkeys could fly".
"As God as my witness...I thought turkeys could fly".
I still get a chuckle from that after all these years.
You have to live near Cincinnati to understand just how funny that really is.
I used to tell my wife that I could feel the IQ points draining away the closer I got to the River.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?
Folks probably don't realize that skit was based on a real promo in which a radio station tossed turkeys from a moving truck. The results were much the same. Les was watching a showing of the Hindenburg disaster off screen as he did his commentary. If you watch him you can easily see him following it during his monologue. "As God as my witness...."
Haven't seen that show in a long, long, time. And it is still funny.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here. And remember to thank God for all you have and for you and yours to stay safe this season.
