we got a rat in the woodpile?
coyotes listen to them, like children of the night what music they make.
Nah. Nothing more than spammers that use the PM feature of forums.
People registering as new members and never posting but going straight to the memberlist and sending PM requesting personal information for help with a vague outdoor related "problem" due to them old member's expertise.
There are some forums where the moderators do not having access to the PM board. People registering, never posting, and using the PM feature to communicate illegal activities/sales, and the moderators never knowing what is going on.

Well one of you banned my spammer before I had time to report it. It was very obvious.
Thanks guys.
He was a good spammer, but alas, spam is spam no matter how you fry it.
I did have his email if anyone would like to get some email spam.

the only PMs I get are from nubile women wanting to meet me. Another note I do notice a lot of members that have never posted using the pm function on a regular basis not sure why.
so the definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law and you want me to believe that somehow more laws make less criminals?

Other forums I've frequented, the first 2 to 5 posts have to be moderated in and you don't get PM capability until post number 10. More work for the moderators though.
If we are to have another contest in…our national existence I predict that the dividing line will not be Mason and Dixon's, but between patriotism & intelligence on the one side, and superstition, ambition & ignorance on the other…

Creating an account for PM purposes is as old as internet forums. I'm sure there are those who use it to communicate with significant others in a manner that is less risky than conventional text/email. Those, while I don't agree with it, are not a real hazard to a forum. If a member were to ask for another member to PM them for non-forum or business reasons, that's not a problem.
I view any un solicited PM by a non-posting account owner as Spam... It is the definition of Spam.
