    Default Matthew Walker Knot Brush

    Matthew Walker Knot Brush/Comb Holder
    1/2" manila rope
I tied this circa 1966. I was on board my first US Navy ship. I admired the knot work of a boatswain's mate and he introduced me to knot tying. My wife recently discovered it in an old storage box.

I seen your post on another survival forum. Are you going to show us how to make one? I can see many a purpose to know this.

    Thanks

I have no suitable rope at this time
I folded the rope in half and tied a constrictor knot to size the loop. I untwisted the six strands and tied a six strand Matthew Walker Knot. I then unraveled the strands to get the threads as shown. A very tedious project

There is an easier way to make a brush. Click on link below
