Default the m1 carbine big brother

Here is a m1 garand, I consider it the carbines big brother. Chambered in 30-06, which even after all this time (1906) it is still a fine round. I kick myself in the hiney, back when svt 40 and swedish jlungman semi could be had cheap, I didn't pick any up.I never really been a semi auto fan but I like them all. I still have regrets for letting my k-43 mauser slip away. Someday I will learn, soon I hope.

I have one in 43 Egyptian. I've never shot it. I have one(1) cartridge for it. A box goes for over $120. I explored the prospect of dies, molds, brass, etc. and decided I could put that money to better use. 8x58 ammo is not quit as much but still pricey.

My grandfather put a 44 Mag barrel on an action he had when I was a kid. I carried it for a couple of years. He finally sold it.

They are sure fun to shoot.

The Garand is fun to shoot too.
