All the dust from all that stomping must have settled here. We have to change filters from time to time. Well, Crash does. I can't bear to go down in the hole. It's down right creepy down there and he has all the submarine time. Doesn't seem to bother him too much.

I had a shocking realization back in 2001 when I was teaching remedial courses for GED prep. I had 30, 17 year old kids in that class and 24 of them were female. I was going through the records one day and realized that every girl in the class, save one, had at least one child and some had two. That was at age 17! There was no ethnic or racial trend, just a universal "few points lower than the mean" IQ score.

Not a lack of overall intelligence, just no motivation to learn nor any ambition to do anything but make babies.

They are out-breeding us Alan! They start younger than we do and have more offspring.

Suddenly one day I realized that I was teaching the grandchildren of some of my first students (who were now in their mid-fifties), and they were just as dense as their forbears, maybe more so.

Now that I am retired I often hear the words of Satchel Page off in the distance, "Don't look back they might be gaining on you!"

I never got to the grandchildren of my first students but I managed to get the children of a few. I remember as an administrator dealing with entire families that spanned 20 years in age differences. I distinctly remember watching the youngest of one group finally get their diploma and cross into real life. I had two months of planning a great year, then found that the offspring of the oldest ones were entering high school. It's like the Hydra. Cut off one head and two grow back in its place.

Election results are fairly indicative of the overall IQ health of the nation. Any time one half of the voters vote Socialist, we know we're in trouble. And that's as close to political as I'll go.
