I'd given them a bombogensis. I'd give them a baseball bat to the snout. I never thought I'd live to see the day but frozen dinosaurs is on the list!

one if my buds from down in Tennessee sent me a picture of a water moccasin slithering on top of the ice on a frozen Reelfoot Lake

    That was news!

    Yeah, I bet....LOL...

In Wisconsin...at one of our local newer commercial developments...that have catchment ponds....for rainwater control.
They use fake alligator heads as a goose deterrent...(lots of geese)....

Doesn't work too well,... as I saw a gossling standing on the fiberglass alligator head...tried to get pic, but it flew away when I stopped the truck.

Wanted a pic of that head frozen in the ice......but they take them out for the winter.....
Would have never thought it was possible to be real.

I used to fish at Reelfoot a bit. They had an old guy there I don't care when you went he always said, "You should have been here last (fill in the day). They were catching 'em by the bushel full." Every single time I went down there he told us that. That had to be one of the most snake infested lakes I was ever at. Those blasted things would try to get in the boat with you if you weren't careful.

That's why you use the .410 with 8 shot instead of .45 colt for the derringer in the boat......when they drop in.

We dont have gators... we have crocs... HUGE HUGE nile type crocodiles... but likely wouldn't survive being frozen... our climate is not one that gets that cold ever

You have one of those? The Leinad?

I have the 10" double barrel. I bought it when I first moved to Arkansas because my dad had told me about all the snakes here.

I haven't seen that many snakes. I think I've seen three copperheads in the last 13 years.

Oh, good grief. What is it like touching the powder off in that cannon? That hurts my hand just looking at it.

I always get a kick out of watching the old pirate movies where they have the canons roped with pulleys into the side of the ship. You have to wonder just how loud it was inside the hold of that ship when all those canons were going off and scooting this way and that across the deck.

    "Fire!"
    "What?"
    "Fire!"
    "What?"

Yeah, hearing could be a problem.
