King Tut’s fire lighting

Right before the new year, we went to a King Tut exhibit. Among the many interesting things, he had his own bow drill set with a little bit of a twist. It seemed to have a built in bearing block.

It’s like a refillable lighter? Although the end of the spindle looks like iron. Just Googled it. There was a dagger made of meteoric iron in there also.

The dagger looked completely golden. There was a lot of stuff cramped into the tombs. His sarcophagus was surrounded by multiple chambers with inches between them. Think of like those Russian dolls, one inside of the other. And even between them, they placed bows and fans. Since there wasn’t room for much else. The entire exhibit was made of replicas, but it was very neat and informative nonetheless. I wish I had more pictures but the kids were starting to rush and the wife was beginning to get a headache.
