I have one of your early file knives Crash.

It has been an excellent blade.

It not only holds a good edge it has refused to show any rust at all for many years.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Can you say Bass Turd File on the interweb's......?
    Excellent job....Very nice.....
    .
Tried a couple file knives back when...one ended up being a filet knife...and the other a patch knIfe.

Did annealed them some...took an edge.....but are still hard and would think brittle.

Like how you kept signs of it previously been a file. Artistic, I say.

How many tries did it take to stamp your logo into that blade?

I have a stamp, but usually use the electro-chemical etching method.

I'm not going to pass on old, rusty files at yard sales anymore. I keep an eye out for old files that are high quality, because I want some high quality files. I've always passed on the rusty, or damaged, ones. Now I have a good reason to buy them. All the metal inside is still good.

Great video, the engraving looks really good with your method. I'll have to give it a try sometime.
