    Default Nate

    Nate is on the way.

Not Nate in Ohio either, Hurricane Nate, about to make landfall in LA.

Is everyone buttoned down for this one?

It appears to be a fast mover and is due to brush me by tomorrow night.

The wind is already up and menacing clouds covering the sky here already and I am 700 miles from the coast that direction.

My Father-in-law lives in New Orleans. I haven't heard anything from him (but that's not unusual). He's got a big generator that runs off of nat gas or propane so he's got the power thing covered. I don't think they'll get anything more than some higher than normal winds where he is. The only damage he had in Katrina was a roof and lost the stuff in the freezer. #1 wife will check in with him in the morning. Her brother is there too so they can commiserate.

Nate is working hard and going to school.

Occasionally he drops in here about middle of the night.

He will catch up with us one day.

Glad I opted out of going to a trade show down in NOLA this coming Wednesday!

You guys do realize that LA is the abbreviation for Louisiana, do you not?

It is that state down south where the Mississippi River exits to the Gulf of Mexico. Looks like a little boot. Home of the Duck Commanders.

Hi hunter and kyratshooter. Kyrat is right. Working nights and nursing school during days. Little time, but I sneak in on occasion. Just poking around right now to see if I missed anything big.

Yeah, finding out I had a hurricane with my name was a bit of a shock. Usually they are names which I would consider of previous generations. Maybe my first sign of getting old? Lol

I actually found out about the hurricane while doing clinical at a nursing home. Naturally, I was taking care of someone using a "hurry-cane" which lead to some jokes. Oh well.

I'll try not to be too much of a stranger. Between work and school, I put in roughly 80 hrs a week. Then there is still the house, family, and other stuff. I'm ready for Christmas break. No school, no yard work, some vacation time..... I'll probably be sleeping the entire time!

I missed you too, Rick lol
