    Default Boat is sold......

I guess I should say one of the boats ....the duck boat went down the road today....
Was a sad day...and glad day.
Still have a 12ft V hull, canoe and kayak.

It went to a good home...a couple of Ducks Unlimited Committee member.s....
I have been invited to hunt with the new owners, It's just in their name now.

Had it since 2001....had good times with it...but just too big to muscle around any more.

I haven't really use it too much since the by-pass surgery...and didn't want to see it sit and get ruined....(sitting doesn't do it anything any good)
Got my price.....but sad to see it go....

This is an older pic with fold up blind.....that hasn't been on it for a few years.

At least now someone else can put it to good use! Hope you're getting stronger since the surgery.

My best wished to you. She is a beauty. Hopefully she'll see many more years in water.

Been doing the gym ever since then...still don't feel all the way back....not sure I ever will.

So dealing with a big boat by myself...as 2 friend hunting partners, both passed as well as a BIL....SIL is now an ex-son in law, ....then my nephew that has been with me since he was 13... now married with 3 kids, jobs, house/car payments....Kinda ran out of hunting partners.

Looking for a smaller jon boat maybe......or if the desire returns.....maybe a pleasure boat....

At least this one will be used....A good thing.

As a fellow traveler through the land if limited behaviors and reduced expectations I have to say that watching a fine boat like that go down the road really sucks!

And I also have a pleasure boat going to the same fate next spring. I simply can not get it into and out of the water any longer. Add to that the fact that I no longer need to be out on the water by myself. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

I am also needing to sell the pull vehicle and will probably replace it with a smaller vehicle that will not pull a 16' boat on trailer.

I still have the "John boat" and that has been my primary floating contraption for the last couple of years. It is a little 12' boat and putt-putts around on a 5 horse motor. I can still toss it around and roll it over by myself if necessary. The motor is heavier than the boat!
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

I have sold canoes and kayaks that I regretted doing.

I, too, am on the small Jon boat trail. I need a little power and room for me, my wife, and dog. Have you priced them lately? JEEZ!

Do not buy a new one Max. Check them out on Craigslist first. I had time to hunt and pick and I got an old aluminum J-boat w/trailer for $200. Shot a rattle can camo paint job on it and have been using it for nearly 8 years.

That is pretty good value for money.

Just like the motor weighing more than the boat I also have more $$$ in the motor than in the boat and trailer.

I guess I will. Heck I just need the boat. I have a galvanized trailer that will never die and a few choices for power.

Never go to BassPro when you know what you need. It's like a kid going to a candy store for a piece of gum.

You know, getting a BUI has to be embarrassing. Not your biggest problem at the time but still.

    Traffic stop.

"Sir have you ever been arrested?"

"uh...yeah.. I caught a BUI." (hangs head in shame.)
