    Default WildFire

I work in the Columbia Gorge between Oregon and Washington. Had a big fire going this week (Not the biggest in the nation). Pretty scary situation for me. I have a 5th Wheel trailer I stay in during the week. It has not been in imminent danger yet, but I took these photos from the park it is at.

The last one is not mine, but it is the spillway of where I work.

I am really glad that hurricanes and wildfires are two things I do not have to worry about. Tornadoes are bad enough but those things are pretty small in comparison so you just have to start running one way or the other. All of you folks keep your top knot low and keep covered.

    Aye.

We've been getting smoke for the last couple of weeks. We had a couple of small fires but nothing big yet.

All of you in the burning places and in the path of the next two hurricanes, stay safe.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

Maybe Irma will put out the remaining wildfires in Florida.
