Default Do you hear that ringing?

This might seem crazy but I have noticed lately that many of the commercials on TV are embedding the sound of common telephone "ring tones" into the background music or sounds.

I have developed the habit if having the TV sound on without the picture and I find myself automatically looking at my phone, then the TV when the ring tone embedded into the commercial sounds.

Anyone else noticed this as a new thing?

Yeah, but I heard the Taos hum too. My wife said I was crazy.

I especially like the sirens on the radio while driving.

I just think it funny that the 5:00 PM to 6:00 local and national news......average 15 commercials per break ...and about a total of 17 min in one hour of "News".
This demographic, favors....... meds, law firms, auto's, auto insurance, AARP, phone and internet....and your fanny is gonna fall off....

I watch the dogs to see what attracts their attention.....They like the boogie men under the bed argueing....and the kid says..."I can hear you".....

I got 'em all beat. I went deaf and can't hear anything. Now, if they figure out how to put texting in the middle of closed captioning I'm gonna be really ticked off.

I heard an interview with one of the national talking heads one time and he declared that there would be no evening news if the entire nation was not suffering from erectile dysfunction!

That one is particularly annoying. I called one local station and said that their news promo with the sirens was going to cause an accident. I guess they got enough calls to change it.

Yes, but only if I have my hearing aids in. Buzzing, however, is all the time - tinnitus.

Weird thing - both Coyote and I are past the age that we have started mishearing things. The weird thing is that what we hear things as is usually horrible, filthy, or disgusting.

We sorta walk around looking shocked and saying, "Say what??!!!"
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

An over the air channel I get uses an old 3-note tone from the days of analog landline phones as part of their station identification sequence. Wonder how many think it's just something they made up or know what it is.
