Thread: Look out Georgia

    Default Look out Georgia

The rebel clan have sold their house and they're coming home. 16 years in Minnesota. We have enjoyed our time here. However, the folks need our help. It's going to be nice being close to family again. Vacation will take on a whole new meaning. Lol, after a few months of us, they might need a vacation.

Thanks guys. Yea it's hot. The other day I saw it was 92 but felt like 106. We'll be living in the camper for a couple of months while the house is finished.

North or South. There are a lot of things I miss about Georgia and Alabama - but not nearly enough to go back.

    Have fun!
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

We're definitely going to have to get together again. There is a pretty active camping group (cooler weather) in Florida. I do some camps in GA as well.

    Keep the bug spray.

I love the St. Mary's area. I had my first ferry ride there. If I'm gonna visit a swamp that is definitely at the top of my list.

    Hmmm...that sounded like sarcasm - it wasn't.

    Send pics. I'll get nostalgic.

Did you go over to Cumberland island on the ferry? I have not been there but, I hear it's nice and they allow camping.

Cumberland Island is great. Wild horses, historic sites, etc. There are a few camping areas - the one closest to the ferry can get rather crowded. The further from the ferry, the fewer people.

Aye. I liked all the barrier islands. They have a cool, weird feeling to them. Just, like I said - bug spray.

It's been awhile (I've been in Colorado for four years) but it used to be a place you could go to be on the beach, but away from the crowds.
