    That's pretty slick. I really like that and that pattern on the sheath. Did you oil the wood? Some of that old submerged wood can be pretty hard stuff.

    Very nice.....Love that wood....Fantastic.

    I just went down and tossed a piece of oak in the river.......should be ready in :
    99 years, 364 days, 23 hours and 20 minutes.....

    I did not oil it. It was cut into large slabs about six years ago. I did fill a little of the checkering with super glue. The pieces with larger cracks would look kind of cool (hopefully) being filled with a light colored epoxy.
