Ok, so, what's that round thing on the shelf?

I guess if you put enough screws in it, no one will steal it...

Gotta watch out for those privies with no roofs. Never know who might be looking over the wall.

Ok. By "indoor", you mean "covered", not just an open-air toilet with a view of the sky.

    It's an indoor outhouse.

Well I'll be blanked. That's funny. The reflection just looked like what was behind it, and I thought I was looking at a ring of some kind and looking through it's middle at the wall behind it.

But now I'm thinking...it's a bathroom, of course it's gonna have a mirror in about that location. Der. Wow, that was a strong (unintended) illusion. And I was probably the only one who suffered from it. God I feel so special.

Special: better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual.

They have been around since the middle ages, installed in the castles.

They are called garterrobes and were located near the wardrobes.

They usually vented the waste into the moat.

I knew a family who had an indoor privy...but an outdoor shower. Still haven't figured that one out.
There ain't too many problems you can't fix with $500 or a 30-06.

The filthy moat was one of the defensive layers for just that reason. It made the drawbridge repair man one of the most demanded professions!

They also raised catfish in the moat. Fish farming was a big thing during the middle ages, lots of castles.
