    Nice deal on the 1911. I learned to shoot with a pair of Remington surplus 1911-a1s that my dad still has.

    I purchased a Remington R1 and carried it concealed for a while. But, the hammer ripped my shirts. My favorite hadgun to shoot though.

    Congrats on the great deal. Goes to show it never hurts to make an offer.

    Just fired 30 rounds through the 1911 and it works perfectly. Not a single issue. And it shoots well. I have seen people shoot these 1911's in the movies and the recoil makes the 1911 kick upwards several inches. I often wondered how that would effect aim. But mine didn't kick upwards hardly at all and it shot where I aimed it. Should have bought one of these a long time ago. Jim
