    No hunting but I throw one a few times a year. This is a great survival tool that is quicker and easier to make than a bow. And potentially very powerful. Good vid.

    Yeah I told her to use the one that did not have the y on it the lower the dart is to the atlatl the more accurate you can be.

    On my to do list....
    Was out of town when our Archaeological Society had an outing ...with demo of a couple of atlatls...
    Looks like something that could be very useful and fun.

    I bought a kit and built one. I threw in the yard and took it to camp a few times. Haven't really messed with it in awhile.

    Yes, it's his Nanticoke Atlatl Kit I bought from 3 Rivers Archery and I bought a 3 dart kit also.

    I hunt ALMOST exclusively bow. So, obviously, I would love to lay one down with an atlatl. That would have to be on a lease for me to try it though.

    I am an expert at the use of that weapon! I can hit anything on the first throw as long as it is as big as a barn,...............reeeeely big barn!!!
