What is really astounding is that it costs the SAS $12,000 to neutralize an ISIS sniper that is using a rifle that has been issued to one out of every 10 soviet infantrymen for the past 50 years!
The cost of the technology that allows them to identify a single combatant and his intent, so they can make the shot, is unknown. I have scopes ranging from 1x up to 32x and spotting scopes up to 100x and I do not think I could tell a rifle from a shovel in the hands of a man at 1.5 miles using any of them.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?
