Thread: Tragedy averted

    Default Tragedy averted

My "Honey Do's" this weekend were fold clothes (Shut up) and installing screen door. In her excitement my wife tried to rip the cardboard box containing the door. Fail. She finally said, "I need a knife." I mumbled, "You need pliers to get those big staples out." As I came back with pliers she said, "Nevermind, I found a knife." As she was a millisecond away from prying those industrial staples out...

    WITH MY NEW CRASHBLADE KNIFE!!!!!!!

Don't worry Max, that Crashblade will get a staple out!

Just think about the stories you can tell over the next ten years.

"Hey Max, how did you get that nick in the blade? Skinning a moose, splitting the pelvis of an elk, gutting a wild hog?"

"Nope, the wife did that opening a cardboard box!"

I already got razzed for surface rust on another custom knife last camp. Geez. I stored it in it's sheath for too long in FL. Crash told me my gun need to be cleaned and Mannlicher said my chili looked like bean soup and my .380 was "almost" a gun.

    Tough crowd down here.

Crashblades can be used to pry tracks back on tanks, pry open bank vault doors and cut open the armored door on a Brinks trunk (emergency only please). We ain't afeared of no staples.

As for tough crowd, someone let the F.A.R.T.s boat get away and we had to think about walking home. Yeah, we're tough like that.

Not being close enough to render assistance in these difficult times, and knowing the subjects involved to some extent I can only offer encouragement from afar.

Of all the "wrong" things to do with a knife blade I dislike having to use one as a pry bar the most. Having said that, I am confident my Crashblade will stand up better to that task than most every other blade I have. I have not nicked mine yet but I did manage to drop it on a concrete floor the other day. It landed handle first and bounced a couple of time. No injuries and no damage as far as I could tell. Glad you got there in time MM

Crashes heart just skipped a couple of beats. You really shouldn't do things like that to guys our age. Of course, I guess that's no worse than throwing one in the ocean.
