    Default My 1st hand made knife

    I hand made this all with hand tools and had a professional company do the heat treat to hrc 58-60

    Nice. Even more impressive is the hand tool make. Is the sawback functional? Maybe post some specs?

    It's more like very deep gimping. . Not a saw back.
    The blade is 5inch long handle 5inch. So toral of 10 inch. The width is 3.5mm (don't know the metric of that)
    Steel is n690 hrc rockwell is 58-60
    Handle is african rosewood
    Pining materials is stainless steel.
    Finished off to about 800 grit. Not quiet mirror finish.
    Full flat grind with a secondary small edge to make it easy to sharpen

    A very nice job.....I am impressed.

    I do like your blade design...look robust and ready for some real work.....
