If this list is for a hike in the mountains, it is way, way off IMO. How long a hike?

Gotta go to work now, but will explain my post later.

I don't know where to begin. Apparently I'm not the only one.

This may sound condescending but it's a serious question. Have you been backpacking before? Or even camping primitive?

its a whole lot of stuff there.
hmmm shelter; I would have a tarp.

anyway this is current kit ... I need to redo the video cause my kit has changed a little .. but it is much the same atm.
I do a new video of my updated kit soon. ( this kit is good for 3-4 days out) I will show my kit for a 7 days in the African desert soon...

    clip......................
You seriously need a goal, and plan to organize.....You just have a "Bunch of Stuff"?????

    Good news.....
Looks like the Kindle has been replaced by printed media...that good progress in a year and a half.....

Books can be used to wipe you butt..(no TP listed)....Kindle not so much...kinda slidey...

If you learn what's in the books...you won't have to carry them either.

Why would you need a seat belt cutter in the mountains?

There was this time I couldn't unhook my web belt fast enough (I think it was the mussels) and really could've used a safer neans of cutting my pants loose. Pot and Machete 2015.

I do know that I always have French Fry seasoning in my survival kit...

French fry seasoning can help give flavor to MRE's or game. The seat belt cutter has a very sharp knife and can be used to create kindling.

I would help but you guys seem to be doing fine.

If it is a mobile kit it is too much and if it is a stationary kit it is not enough.

BTW, there is no coffee on the list so it has to be the work of a robot or a 12 year old.

The comment about Trump and the absence of either weapons or ammo replaced by a butt load of knives and spices also leads to troubling conclusions.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Where are your AR15, 5,000 rounds of .223, 20 30 rounds magazines, Glock 9mm and 2,000 rounds of 9mm plus six extra magazines, Rem. 870 12 ga. and a case of 00 buckshot?

Need something to protect all your goods when the Trumpster's goons come to confiscate all you have.

I would suggest creating some caches, also take a look at items that can multi purpose to reduce weight.

Well, you answered that question. If you would go back and answer mine (post 6) I/we might be able to give you some meaningful advice.

All I can say is load it up and take off. That's the surest way for you to understand how ill prepared you are. My guess is you will be back at the car in less than 10 minutes.

    See my ditch/keep comments above.

    Having reviewed that.....

Get a real sleeping bag for the temps you will experience.
Get a real pack to hold everything.
Get a real tent (or hammock/tarp/bivey)
    Bring extra socks.
Bring some lightweight food instead of the stew and corned beef. Keep in mind you will be burning calories so three good meals a day with protein bars and other snacks.
    Tea only and no coffee?
Cook kit with a way to heat your food and drink your tea.
    Bring a Bic

I'm probably missing a lot, but just get out there and have fun. Your list will be different from mine, but if you cover the basics you will have a safe and fun journey.
