I searched. I couldn't find a dedicated thread for movie discussion.
I just watched Deepwater Horizon starring Mark Whalberg, Kurt Russel and John Malkovich. Its based on the true events of the infamous BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
It was a bit of a tear jerker at some spots. A good visual on the horror of the BP oil spill. I was following the news at the time but I didn't realize that 11 men had lost their lives.
The acting was well done and the portrayal of the BP oil executives is great in the way that you pretty much hate them by the end. Also a good visual on how the accident happened in the first place.
Definitely worth a watch, but don't watch with young kids, its pretty graphic in some spots, and some language as well.
