    Default Helloooooo

    Hey...
    I'm a 23 yr old female...
I live in the east of England...
    I have a 2 yr old boy...

I have always loved the outdoors and for many years have considered going "off grid"

I've done a lot of research into leaving and have joined the site in hopes of getting more information and advice...

    Thank you in advance xx

Welcome, kudos to you for looking ahead and making plans. Stick around here and you'll learn a lot!
There ain't too many problems you can't fix with $500 or a 30-06.

Him-"Whats the best knife for survival?"
Me-"the one that's in your pocket."
Him-"I don't have one in my pocket."
    Me-"Exactly."

Thank you! This may seem like a really silly question but.... Where would you go to "go off grid" in England?

Hello from Michigan, like your style and ambition at such a young age, best of luck if we can help let us know. What king of wilderness experience do you have.

    Hail & welcome,
I grew up in West Sussex & now i live not 100% off grid but in a 60/40 style.
We did this by moving to an alpine location on the east end of switzerland.
When i came here my kids were 5 & 6, only a fire place and wood fueld stove, no washing machine & water from our own well.
We grow, keep chickens & have had sheep & pigs.
If i were you i would look at Spain or northern Italy where there are lots of empty cottages for example.
Whats important is too plan & have a backup & get out in hand. At the start its exciting & the first winter could be your undoing if your not prepared.
Good luck & please ask questions.

    Simon
