Happy birthday Nell. Count your blessings you haven't had as many as Rick.

But hope that you do.
Happy birthday!
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.
Happy birthday. Hope you had a fantastic day!

Hey, it's not that bad. I'm 21. Of course that's as high as I can count so....
Thank you all! I turned the big 5-0 yesterday, so my BF and I went browsing antiques in Cambridge City, IN a two hour drive from our home. I had the definite NEED to be around things much older than I,LOL!
We had a nice drive up, outside of having to stop and stretch (this seems to happen more often the older I get), and drove home against a blowing snow. My one wish for my birthday was NO SNOW!
I was impressed by the actual antiques that crowded the majority of the shops we wandered vs the stores that say antique on the window but is really the new age primitive and crafts. Those do not interest me so much, and really dominate the "antique" market down our area of the state. Way more crafts than antiques.
But my sincere desire for my birthday was to spend time with my BF who as most of you know had a defibrillator implanted a year ago, he was born with a heart issue that was not detected until he was 53 after two major heart attacks that they say he must have slept through, and at that time (2007) gave him only 5 months to live, without a heart transplant. He refused to go on the list then, and again last Feb..
So every minute I get to spend with him is a gift although both the drive and all the walking really wore him out.

50 is great! 40 was the rough one.
