Think this was the coolest camping trip I've ever had something about building your own camp and shelter and being out in the open at night...was super awesome.....here's the link to video of camp...

Cool, looks like a fun time, good job on shelters,
MMMM just seems like a ton of effort for a short term shelter though, and personally I would use different cordage, but I suppose you use what you have.

    Other than that seemed fun.
I have sub'ed you ( you dont have many subs, hahah like myself i dont have many either so hey yeah us small guys on youtube can stick together :P)
also left comment on the video..
Look forward to seeing how you progress

Glad you had a good time. I did remove the other posting you had of the same video as it doesn't really meet the criteria for instructional video.

When we built it we put a little time into it so we can use it multiple times....it's on our land so we will be camping in it as many times as possible

Yeah man, we have the small cabin, that camp with the lean-to 's and we plan on building a few more shelters in different areas of the property. We will be able to switch things up when we go up there and also always be busy building...

    Guys,
Looks like you had a fun weekend & got some good practice in there.
My only concern or rather piece of advice is:
When using an axe to split wood remember the safety zone rules, one of you was standing dangerously close to where the axe was striking the log.
It's important to clear an area in a circle at least as wide as the length of your arm & the axe.
It can happen that the split log jumps or ( god forbid) the axe handle breaks or the the axe head comes off and hits the other person.

    Otherwise good job.
    Do more
    Make more videos.

    Take care
    Stay safe

    Cool campsite.

The arrangement around a central fire is how civilization and villages started.
I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

The one that fell in the fire turned out to be the village idiot and a legend was born.
