    Default Damasteel and giraffe bone

A little something different for me, I love making folders, I hate making folders, I always end up having to make some of the parts 2 or 3 times and this one was no exception. I'm going to replace the pink thumb stud with a black one when I can pick one up. Any way I'm 95% happy with this one, it locks up solid, has 0 play opens and closes very clean basically nothing a few hours of hand sanding wont accomplish right. This is the first DAMASTEEL I have ever used I think its going to be awesome it got hard and seems to take a keen edge.

    7 1/2" total
    3 1/8" blade
    Blade is DAMASTEEL
Handle is giraffe bone with ss bolster, and copper and nickel silver 1/8" pins, pivot point is adjustable.

That is just about as pretty as it gets. What a gorgeous knife. You may know the problems but I sure don't see a thing wrong at all. Very nice.

    Thing of beauty!
There ain't too many problems you can't fix with $500 or a 30-06.

Him-"Whats the best knife for survival?"
Me-"the one that's in your pocket."
Him-"I don't have one in my pocket."
    Me-"Exactly."

You can, it does take patience , not so much in pratice or making a lot if knives, but in making each one don't rush rhem and there is no substitute for doing a lot of finish work by hand. The heat treatment is the important part good thing about that is you do not need to reinvent the wheel just copy time proven procedures, test your blades alot until it becomes 2nd nature.
