Default Made it while i was our in Patagonia on History's Alone show

Happy New Year !!!! I made my daughter a wand from a piece of driftwood I found in Patagonia while on the alone show. Then I gave it to her for Christmas and set up a special surprise so when she used it she thought she was able to do real magic.

2040, Christmas afternoon, two women sitting at the table after the Christmas meal, the 35 year old looks at the 32 year old and says,

"Remember the year Dad gave us a stick?"

The younger looks up and replies,

"Why do you think I give him drug store aftershave every year?"
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

I tell my kids all the time that all they need are sticks and rocks to play with. Just not in the house, or mamma gets mad. Of course, twine sure adds to the fun.

The tree i got it from was all twisted up so i wanted the wand to reflect that so i carved the twists into it. Carved the hole thing with my customized swiss spirit multitool. The driftwood I used was a giant tree I cut and split off a piece from the base. The tree I Was fairly special being it was a protected tree called the elaceys (not spelling it right) it a conifer not unlike cedar. It's protected because most we're cut down and turned into shingles years ago. But I was fortunate to find an entire tree that had blown up onto my sure they're in Patagonia. But because of its product resistant nature I have no idea how old was. As far as I know I could've been sitting therefore hundred years. The growth rings were so tight I counted 300 before I give up and it was only a foot and a half in diameter.
