    So sad! She was as iconic as it got to a guy my age. I saw Star Wars at the drive-in theater in '77 and was captivated by Princess Leia. She was very beautiful of course but also strong and brave. She had an amazing gravitas for someone so young. Mostly I knew her from those films but she was a very in-demand screenwriter and script doctor, doing more work behind the camera than in front of it. She will be greatly missed but left behind an amazing legacy.

    Very true. In Hollywood, Fisher did very well with her writing.
