I just committed an act that defies logic.
It happened last night while I was having a weak moment and when I woke this morning and remembered what I had done I was struck with shortness of breath, heart palpitations, angina and clammy skin. It was almost like waking up next to a fat chick!
Yes, a small amount of bourbon was involved.
I have ordered a new stock for one of my MN rifles.
It is the ATI polymer stock in brown and I got it for a good price at $75 and free shipping.
I only paid $70 for the rifle I am putting in it!
Of course that same rifle now sells for $250+- so I suppose I could justify it that way.
I was also looking at a 10 round magazine that was selling for $40 and the realization that I was about to put $110, more then $150 including the scope, in accessories on a $70 rifle about overwhelmed me.
I held off on the magazine. Who needs a ten round MN anyway? The stripper clips only hold 5 rounds and if you can't get the job done with 5 rounds of 7.62x54 you had better head for the house.
Anyway, I need to sooth my stingy conscience. Someone tell me I did the right thing.
