I agree Kyrat. I have a few firearms from the 70's (a Ruger Blackhawk and a Remington 700) and the used prices I paid for those are way less than what the new stuff is and the quality is leaps and bounds better. Don't get me started on my 870 Wingmaster from the 50's.

NOT saying that the new stuff isn't worth owning, but the fit, finish, and overall workmanship doesn't compare.

Have to agree....BUT....You still need to check the condition of the older offerings....especially at shows.
Many will try to pass off a complete RAT because it is Pre '64.......

Private sales are not so bad...as they most likely spend most of the time in a cabinet or closet....if you find one.
Or you will hear the words..." I looked it up one GunBroker as they say......."

Some times at shows...you have to ask "Does it shoot?"....Then ask, "Twice in a row?

Yea, worn out guns are still worn out no matter how nice they were when new.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

I agree guys. It is always "buyer beware", but if you look at the overall condition and check out the basic mechanics then good deals can be had.

I have 4 94's from fair condition to really good. All pre 60s. Paid 300-600$. Been a few years though. I had my eye on one at a local place but refuse to pay 1600$.
