That's a pretty good story....Glad she was OK.

Didn't read all of it as the "Next" format after every 10 words.... loads so slow....with the ads and stuff....makes it hard to read.

Sometimes those things have an option for reading full document on one page. But there should be a law against making you click "continue reading" after each few sentences just so they can trick you into seeing several dozen ads after about an hour of working through that maze. If I wanted to read, I'd click something...which I already did. So why should I keep clicking to read again and again. I already clicked to read, dummy heads.

Anyway wildthang, I'm sure it was a good story though.

That was the first survival story I ever heard. I was in grade school and I have to say that piqued my interest in outdoor wilderness survival. I remember we'd go camping and I would spend all day in the woods by myself pretending I was alone or stranded. I had a small canvas Army bag with my pocket knife and a few other items. (of course it was safer to let your kids run loose back then)

    That is a great story!
"I enjoy surviving." Yes, well I certainly hope so as the other side of that is "DEATH!"

There is a way out - copy the names or details and paste it in wiki and read the entire story. You really do not need to go past the first click

Here I did it for you CLICK
“There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag … We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language … and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

No ship.... agree 100%....getting close to top of the 100 thing that piss me off.

Many time when I'm at "The Place" I don't get real good down load speed...so I blow off these "click next" sites.
My local newspaper has an online site....and treat stories like this....."click next"......I can read it hard cover in a real fish wrapper news paper.....but need a password.....Seriously?

So I like a "cut and paste" posting of the story...with credit of course.....Like....
"Hey I found this cool story...@ Thus and such site and here it is...."

There are several references to this story. Here is one everyone should be able to open.
